Mini Stocking Pattern

 

You will need: 

Cotton yarn/thread nº4 in 2 colors (I’ll name them A and B)

2.5mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle to sew in the ends

 

Abbreviations: 

mc – Magic Circle

sc – Single Crochet

ch – Chain

slst – Slip Stitch

inc – Increase (2 stitches in the same stitch)

 

Pattern:

The pattern will be worked in continuous rounds except for the heel 

Start with color A for the toes 

Round 1 - mc of 6 (6)

Round 2 – inc in every stitch (12)

Round 3 – *inc, 1 sc* x6 (18)

Round 4-6 – sc in every stitch (18) 3 rounds

Change to color B

Round 5-10 – sc in every stitch (18) 6 rounds

Change to color A to start the heel

Round 11 – 9sc (9)

Round 12-15 – ch1, turn, 9sc (9) 4 rows
Cut the yarn and sew the heel on the stitches side to close it


Change to color B, start at the end of the heel

Round 16 – work 9 sc in the main part of the work + 9sc in the rows made for the heel (18)

Round 17-26 – sc in every stitch (18) 10 rounds

Change to color A

Round 27 – sc in every stitch until the back of the heel, ch12, slst in the same stitch; continue to sc in every stitch until you get to the begining of the color change, slst and fasten off.

Only thing left is to sew in that last end and you're done!


Last year I used these on my shelf for decoration and some on my tree, this year I'm making an advent calendar for my sister.
